Pitt Pirates Robotics formed a partnership with A Time For Science in 2017 to offer Lego Robotics Summer Camps at their facility in Uptown Greenville. It was so successful that we expanded our offerings and have created mini camps throughout the year! Follow us and A Time For Science on Facebook to find out more about these great camps!
Jr. Robotics Summer Camp - July 12 - July 16, 2021
Great for anyone (Kindergarten - 3rd grades) interested in joining a local FIRST Lego League Discover or Explore (FLLD or FLLE) team or just wants to learn more about STEAM concepts and programming using the WeDo software.
Robotics Summer Camp - July 19 - July 23, 2021
Great for anyone (4th - 8th grades) that is interested in joining a local FIRST Lego League Challenge (FLLC) team or just wants to learn more about building with Technic Legos and programming EV3 Bricks.
Advanced Robotics Summer Camp - July 26 - July 30, 2021
Great for anyone (6th-10th grades) with prior programming experience. Participants will learn more advanced programming skills using the LEGO Mindstorm EV3 this summer. They will also be introduced to Arduino and other programming devices.
Note: The camp participants will be mentored and coached at the camps by our veteran Pitt Pirates Robotics members. They have several years of robotics experience. AND they were on or still mentor FLL and FTC teams in our community. The camps are overseen by our Lead Mentors, Ann and Bill McClung.
Students take design breaks and develop skills in engineering, design, and programming.
