On Saturday, March 24, our SWENext chapter hosted an event for some local Girl Scouts. 65 girls signed up for the event. We offered the girls and their parents a small breakfast of donuts and juice. Girls were offered many stations and rotated between them to allow them to earn badges available to their level of Girl Scouts. We offered them pasta cars, WeDo 2.0s, EV3s, SWAPS, and a tour of the shop to learn more about us and FIRST. At the end, all the girls were given a certificate and a SWE patch to end the event. Everyone left with a smile on their face and multiple requests for this event to be repeated next year. We do plan on doing this event again, and offering an event for older Girl Scouts o explore STEM and robotics!
